We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, because we are based in the Netherlands, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect

Order and account details: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order history.
Payment details: these are processed by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.
Communication: emails and chat messages you send us.
Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up.
Website use: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and similar data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we use it

To process and deliver your order, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer service. (GDPR basis: performance of a contract.)
To send newsletters and offers, only if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time. (GDPR basis: consent.)
To run, secure and improve our website, and to prevent fraud. (GDPR basis: legitimate interests.)
To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records. (GDPR basis: legal obligation.)

We don't sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run our store, with:

our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and payment providers;
our suppliers and delivery partners, to ship your order;
email, customer service and analytics tools we use;
professional advisers and authorities, where required by law.

5. Overseas disclosure

Our business is based in the Netherlands, and some of our service providers are located in other countries, including the United States and countries in Asia where our suppliers are based. This means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information. Where required under the GDPR, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. Where required, we ask for your consent for non-essential cookies. You can also change your browser settings to refuse cookies, although some parts of the site may then not work properly.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. For example, we keep order records for tax purposes.

You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Under the GDPR, you can also ask us to delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy in a portable format, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
